Gaird was another classmate from St. Cyril's grammar school that we lost. Another of my schoolmates that lived close by during our high school years. Gaird did not have it easy in high school, as she lost her mom during this time, and she was the oldest of three. She had many responsibilities placed on her but she was not a complainer, and was a sweet-natured, kind person. I remember calling her for one of our re-unions to try & convince her to attend (think the 25th - which I myself ended up not being able to attend, but I was calling to contact people). Gaird was happy to hear from me, was happily married with 3 sons, but did not care to attend as high school was a difficult time for her, although she was still in contact with some of her old friends. She was in a good place and I felt so bad when I saw she had passed on. I hope her last years were always as happy as she seemed that last time I spoke to her.
